Free heritage celebration at the Little River Railroad & Lumber Museum featuring traditional Appalachian music, storytelling, historical exhibits, demonstrations, guided walks, and railroad artifacts. Honors the Little River Railroad and Lumber Company that built Townsend and opened the Great Smoky Mountains.
FREE admission - the Little River Railroad built Townsend. Features live traditional Appalachian music and storytelling alongside the railroad history. The Heritage Center's permanent exhibits are worth a full afternoon on their own.
