Baskins Square is an open-air collection of shops and eateries right on the Gatlinburg Parkway, a convenient place to spend an hour or two when you want lunch, a little shopping and something to entertain the kids without walking the whole length of downtown. Its tenants range from long-running family businesses to newer shops, so it covers a lot of ground in one stop.
For food, Mountain Edge Grill serves salads, soups, sandwiches, chicken tenders and burgers, New Orleans Sandwich Company brings Cajun and Creole flavors, and Tennessee Jed's makes its menu in house. Little Bear Winery pours free tastings for adults. Shoppers can browse Bigfoot HQ, Doc's Magic Shop, family-owned for more than 40 years, Earthbound Trading Co., Best of the Smokys, God's World, Natural House of Jerky, Smoky Mountain Organics and The Potter and The Park. Breakout Games escape rooms and Ripley's Marvelous Mirror Maze and Candy Factory round it out.
Baskins Square is at 631 Parkway in downtown Gatlinburg. Each business sets its own hours, so check individual shops if you have a specific stop in mind; the Baskins Square website lists phone numbers for each tenant. Parking is in downtown paid lots, and the square's website points to nearby lots such as the Downtown lot at 526 Parkway and lots along Reagan Drive and Historic Nature Trail. Wine tastings are for guests 21 and over.
