WildSide is a mountain adventure park in Pigeon Forge with UTV tours and mountain bike trails, and its signature ride is MegaZip, billed as the longest zipline in America. A single cable stretches 5,771 feet down the mountain, with four lanes side by side so friends and family can race. It is a big-thrill ride with a big view, looking out over downtown Pigeon Forge and the Smokies.
The experience begins with a safety briefing, gearing up with helmet, harness and trolley, and a short demo zip to learn the braking. A 20-minute shuttle then climbs to the launch at 2,472 feet. From there riders drop more than 1,000 vertical feet and can reach 55 mph. The self-braking system puts you in control, so you can ride full throttle or slow down for the scenery. A helmet camera video can be added for $19.99.
WildSide is at 1099 Laurel Lick Road, and the park is open daily from 9 AM to 7 PM, with ticket sales ending two hours before closing. Riders must be at least 10 years old, 48 to 82 inches tall and 50 to 260 pounds, and minors need a guardian present. Closed-toe shoes are required. MegaZip runs in most weather but pauses for storms, and weather cancellations receive vouchers rather than refunds. Book online ahead of time.
