About

Parkway traffic in Pigeon Forge can turn a two-mile hop into a slow crawl, and parking at the busiest attractions is rarely free. The city's own trolley system, Pigeon Forge Mass Transit, is the easy answer. It serves more than 200 official stops in Pigeon Forge plus select spots in Sevierville and Gatlinburg, so guests can leave the car at one free lot and spend the day moving between shows, restaurants and shops.

There are several routes. North Parkway runs every 20 to 25 minutes into part of Sevierville, South Parkway every 25 to 30 minutes past campgrounds and Dolly Parton's Stampede, and the Dollywood route every 15 minutes, starting thirty minutes before the park opens. A nonstop route reaches the Gatlinburg Welcome Center every 30 minutes, where Gatlinburg's own trolleys take over, and an hourly route heads out Wears Valley Road. Most single rides are $1, Dollywood rides are $2.50, and a $3 all-day pass covers unlimited trips.

The main station sits at Patriot Park in the Old Mill District; turn at traffic light 7. Parking there is free, as are the city lots on Teaster Lane, which have free shuttle service to Patriot Park. Drivers take exact fare only, so carry small bills or buy an all-day pass at the transit office, a ticket machine or the mobile app. Children under 3 ride free, every trolley is lift-equipped for wheelchairs, and pets are not allowed. Service pauses on Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
