Smith & Son Corner Kitchen holds one of the busiest corners in downtown Gatlinburg, where the Parkway meets Historic Nature Trail at traffic light #8. It opened in May 2020 in the building long known as Blaine's Grill & Bar and describes itself as the place where Southern hospitality meets Smoky Mountain flavor. It is a dependable pick when a group wants something for everyone, and a lively spot to catch a game.
The menu covers Southern comfort and pub favorites. The Gatlinburger is the house signature, joined by smoked ribs, meatloaf, smothered chicken, fajitas, salads, sandwiches, pastas and wings, with starters like nachos and colossal onion rings and desserts such as house-made cheesecake and banana pudding. The bar program includes signature cocktails, margaritas, draft beer and moonshine drinks. The upper-level sports bar has TVs tuned to games and a bartender-led, social feel.
The restaurant is at 812 Parkway, Suite 105, next to the Space Needle area and Ripley's, so it pairs well with a downtown afternoon. There is no dedicated lot; use one of the paid public lots nearby or ride the trolley. It is open daily for lunch and dinner, with later hours on Friday and Saturday. Big game days fill up, so arrive early if you want a seat with a view of the screens.
