The Old Mill Pigeon Forge at a Glance

The Old Mill in Pigeon Forge is a historic gristmill built in 1830 by William Love. It is one of the oldest continually operating gristmills in the United States and the only structure in Pigeon Forge listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The mill harnesses the power of the Little Pigeon River to grind cornmeal, flour, and grits, which are used in the on-site restaurants and bakery.

The mill has a rich history, having served as a post office, a secret loom for Union uniforms during the Civil War, and a makeshift hospital.
