Gatlinburg Arts & Crafts Community

The Gatlinburg Arts and Crafts Community is the largest independent organization of artisans in the United States. Established in 1937 when local craftsmen decided to move their shops away from the busy downtown area, this unique community is set along an 8-mile, two-lane loop in a traditional rural Appalachian setting. It features over 100 artists and craftsmen who preserve and showcase traditional Appalachian arts and crafts, as well as contemporary masterpieces.
